Cornerstone Curved Unit

Taking inspiration this piece was designed as both a functional solution and a feature piece. This freestanding cabinet was created to discreetly house the underfloor heating manifold whilst sitting comfortably within the wider scheme of the room.

The form was key to the design. A fully curved frontage softens the overall presence of the piece, giving it a more furniture-led feel rather than something purely practical. The proportions and detailing have been carefully considered so that the unit reads as a standalone statement, rather than a concealed service cupboard.

Finished in a high gloss piano black, the surface reflects light and surrounding materials, enhancing the sense of depth and movement across the curved panels. This level of finish requires a meticulous spray process to achieve the clarity and consistency expected of a true gloss surface.

Behind the doors, the internal layout has been configured to allow full access to the manifold for maintenance, ensuring the piece performs as well as it looks. The result is a cabinet that balances technical requirement with refined design, turning a necessary utility into something visually striking.
